To apply the purchase credit at the point-of-sale, you must transfer the entirety of your allowable purchase credit to the dealership and complete additional documentation that has been approved by the Internal Revenue Service. Vehicle eligibility does not guarantee taxpayer eligibility, which requires your adjusted gross income to be below certain income thresholds.
